This year, I will be sharing regular video diary entries from my garden. Little snippets to show you what I’m getting up to. The majority of these are only permanently available to members of my Wild Garden club. If you’d like to join the club and access all the videos, grow guides and seasonal recipes I share, click the button below to upgrade your membership to Wild Garden Club member.
This week I am:
Harvesting cucumbers - the best cucumber haul I’ve ever had and I think it’s because of their location. They are sprawling up our sunny front fence and loving it! If you are also harvesting cucumbers I have a yummy salad recipe you can try here.
Cooking (or *hoping to cook) a dessert with some of my Mum and Dad’s homegrown pears and the leaves from their lemon verbena. The plan is a lemon verbena infused custard and grilled fig Danish pastry (with store bought puff pastry because there is ZERO chance of this happening if I also try to make pastry). I’m feeling hopeful, I want to make this happen. Badly. Stay tuned.
Transplanting like half of our entire backyard! You’ll hear about all of this in the video below but essentially I’ve done what I seemingly do every autumn, gone totally rogue and transplanted half the garden.
Thinking about the intro to the gardening book I have just started working on! It’s a gardening book designed for Perth gardeners (although there will be plenty of useful stuff in it for non-Perth gardeners too). I’ll be sharing my chapters to my newsletter as I write them, so stay tuned!
Welcome back to another tour of my garden! This time I’m showing you what’s flowering in mid-autumn and also showing you some of my less-than-ideal garden spots.
Empty shady corners, plants that may or may not be dead post-transplant, and a very depressed rose all feature, along with some tips for bringing colour to your autumn garden and experimenting with shifting plants that aren’t working.
I hope you like it!

Ah the video was so helpful! I'll have to jot down some of the plants you mentioned that I like the look of. The one that stands out is the not dead Chinese lantern! Wow so pretty!
Awesome
